Sufiyan Long Jacket | Madder

Sale price₹ 42,000.00

This four-layer khadi cotton jacket with a silk lining features applique embroidery on a patchwork base inspired from a traditional Gujarati quilt known as a godhri. This loose, comfortable style ends at mid-calf-length and has pockets. The recycled patchwork is made from our leftover cutouts that we have assorted from previous seasons in shades of madder and burgundy.

This project aims to create work for a group of women from Pindharada village, Gujarat, who have been recently taught sewing by SOACH NGO as part of a livelihood generation initiative. The applique embroidery is done by a separate group of women artisans who work from their homes in Ahmedabad.

CARE: Dry Clean Only
