Description

A full-length jacket cut in panels and open down the centre front, with a concealed placket and a beaded collar. It features hand-embroidered motifs made from recycled cutting waste, appliquéd onto a textured cotton silk base. The motifs are interspersed with beadwork on the front yoke and cuffs. This soft, four-layered jacket is fully lined with silk.

This project provides work for women in Pindharada village, Gujarat, who were recently taught sewing by Soach NGO. The appliqué embroidery is done by artisans in Ahmedabad.
