Description

The Patan set is partly inspired by the patola textiles of Patan, Gujarat, and partly by the beadwork of Saurashtra and Kutch. Motifs like parrots, elephants, and flowers—seen on famed ikat textiles—plus various beaded objects (torans, chaklas, hanging ornaments, hand fans) are embroidered across the onion-pink organza silk odhana within a diamond grid using pitta embroidery. 

A matching lehenga and blouse in different sheens, both woven with zari, complete the set.
