Description

The Panetar, a red and white bandhani saree, worn by a Gujarati bride and gifted to her by her maternal uncle, served as an inspiration for this design. Our interpretation of this traditional design consists of a midnight blue and white dip-dyed organza skirt (ghaghra) with an embroidered leher (wave) border, coordinated with a silk georgette bandhani odhana which is embellished with pitta embroidery in silver.

The odhna uses a pattern known as the Chandrokhani, which is a traditional square veil from Kutch with a large central medallion.
