A shawl-collared jacket with zardosi and beadwork embroidery on the yoke, collar, and cuffs, on a natural-white zari cotton base. The jacket is lined up to the yoke, leaving the rest of the garment to fall freely. The embroidery uses gold and silver naqshi (metal coil) couched onto the surface in a floral grid pattern, offset by white and clear glass beads.

Worn here with an ivory silk shirt and wide metallic trousers.

The Making of the Pako Jacket

The Pako jacket is one of our favourite styles, and this is the original version in ivory. It uses a combination of gold and silver Naqshi or metallic coil, couched to the surface in a pattern of flowers set within a grid. The metallic motifs are offset with a sprinkling of white and clear glass beads.
