Dori Abho | Natural

Sale price₹ 74,800.00

The embroidery used in thisabhois known as Marodi or Dori work, where two or more metallic yarns are plyed, and coiled into different shapes on the surface of the cloth before being couched down, in this case, with orange thread. This form of embroidery is less shiny and sits flatter than many other techniques that also use metallic yarn such as zardosi, but is more time consuming to execute. This traditional garment, which is based on the Kutchi abho, features a large and prominent yoke with a paan (betel leaf) shaped pendant, embroidered onto a base of natural white zari cotton. The abho is trimmed at the hem and cuffs with gold embroidery, while the back has a motif centred to the opening. Paired with a natural white organza-silk Tikki Dupatta and tissue-cotton Wide Pants.
